Definitive agreement for the acquisition of Jumbo Mining Ltd
Imerys signed on June the 6th a definitive agreement for the purchase of a 100% share interest in Jumbo Mining Ltd, a company located at Hyderabad, capital of the Andrah Pradesh State, in the South East of India.
Jumbo Mining Ltd produces 140.000 tons of potassium feldspar for the frits, glazes, tiles body and tableware markets. Jumbo Mining Ltd sells products to Turkey, Middle East and Asia. The company has 67 employees in two processing plants.
This acquisition is key for our growth in Asia. It gives us a very good basis for our future development on the ceramics markets in this region.
